Welcome Ken Cummins to the CCBA Hispanic Ministry. Ken Married Tammy Girten Cummins on June 7th, 1980. They have three grown children, Zack, Hannah and Andrew. They also have five grandchildren, Will, Savana, Isabella, Nehemiah and Eleanor.
Ken was saved at seven years old at Calvary Baptist Church in Princeton, KY and answered the call to preach in July 1977. Ken has served as a pastor, missionary, general manager of a Christian Radio Station in Bowling Green, KY, a career missionary to La Ceiba, Honduras from 1992 to 2000 and has worked in radio for over 38 years. He has worked for WNKJ in the early 80's, while on furlough from the mission field in the 90's and now since September, 2000. He serves as the Promotions/PR Director for WNKJ/WNLJ and Spanish teacher at Dawson Springs Independent High School in Dawson Springs, KY and as a lead church planter cooperating with the Christian County Baptist Association.
The Hispanic Ministry in Christian County has a two-fold thrust. Because of the increasing number of Hispanics who are making Christian County as their home and because of the large number of Hispanics related to the military presence at Ft. Campbell, the Christian County Baptist Association (CCBA) has worked diligently to establish Spanish language churches in Christian County.
Because of the large number of predominantly Mexican farm migrants that come to Christian County each year, the CCBA is also aggressively involved in reaching out to these migrants.
